Here we are, the "entitled ones"
ReplyDeletecaught up in our politics and selfish needs
ignorant of the disruption we cause
worried about google ads rather then the ceasing of life cause by our own hands
Here we are, taking all we can get
burning up the fuel that we fail to replenish
Here we are, forgetting where we came from
the ocean where we started our evolution
And here we are, polluting it as if to spit in the face of the mother that gave us life, and the brothers and sisters that chose to stay with her
The oil moves to kill
ReplyDeleteall we love and cherish hurts
what are we to do?
Oil gushing,
ReplyDeletemoving,
killing.
A black mass moving forward,
leaving only our shame.
